1. Agreement
By installing or using the Trust Wallet software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to the software interface only. They do not create any custody relationship, and nothing in them makes Trust Wallet a party to any transaction you sign.
2. The software is licensed, not sold
The app is licensed to you for use on devices you control. You may not sell, sublicense, reverse engineer for the purpose of extracting private keys, or modify the software in a way that breaks its security properties.
You are responsible for the security of your device, your access credentials and your backup. A device compromised by malware, or a backup exposed by negligence, is not something we can remedy.
3. Staking terms
These provisions apply when you open a fixed-term USDT position:
- Minimum. 10 USDT per position.
- Term. 10, 30, 90 or 180 days. The term is fixed at confirmation.
- Rate. The rate displayed in the app at the moment you confirm applies to the entire term. A later rate change does not affect an open position.
- Calculation. Reward is
amount × rate × days ÷ 365, settled on-chain. - No auto-renewal. Positions do not renew. A new term is a new decision.
- Early exit. You may close a position at any time. Principal is returned; reward for elapsed days is kept, and reward for unused days is forfeited.
- Network fees. Transaction fees are set by the network, not by us, and are shown before you confirm. They are not deducted from the reward.
No reward is guaranteed. Rates may be changed prospectively, and nothing here obliges us to maintain a given rate for a term that has not yet been opened.
4. Risk disclosures
Staking involves risk, and the following are material to any decision you make:
- Market risk. Rewards are denominated in USDT. If USDT trades below its peg, a fully paid reward may be worth materially less in another currency.
- Timing risk. A longer term pays more but commits more. If you close early you forgo the unused reward.
- Technology risk. Software defects, network failures, chain reorganisations and incorrect network selection can all cause irreversible loss.
- Key risk. Whoever holds your recovery phrase holds your funds. We cannot restore it, and no legitimate process requires it.
- Tax. Treatment of staking rewards depends on your jurisdiction. We do not provide tax advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app or any related service to: violate the law; attack, probe or disrupt the service or its infrastructure; attempt to extract private keys from other users’ devices; distribute malware; operate for the benefit of a party that has no right to the funds; or circumvent technical restrictions.
6. Intellectual property
The app, the shield mark and the software are owned by their respective rights holders and licensed to you under these terms. You may not alter the shield mark or use it in a way that implies endorsement of your product.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, that the service will be continuously available, or that a transaction you sign will produce the outcome you expect.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from: your loss or exposure of your recovery phrase or private key; your selection of the wrong network, address or amount; a signed transaction you did not intend to sign; market movements, including depegs; unauthorised access to your device; or software defects, network failures or third-party infrastructure.
Because the software never takes custody of your funds, our exposure in any event is limited to the value of any fees we may have collected. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the software, your breach of these terms, or your violation of applicable law.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes are announced before taking effect. You may stop using the app at any time. Open positions continue under the terms in effect when they were opened — a change to these terms never alters a position you already hold.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws specified in the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in them removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your country of residence.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms go through support. Never include a recovery phrase or a private key — we do not have them and no legitimate request would need them.
